Late Sunday night and Monday morning, the website of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC) became unresponsive, which interfered with attempts by the public to express their views on the proposals currently up for comment, including one about Net Neutrality. Although comedian John Oliver on his show Last Week Tonight had asked his viewers to inundate the website with comments supporting Net Neutrality, the FCC says a DDoS (distributed denial-of-service) cyberattack, not angry HBO fans, are responsible for their website’s issues.
FCC Chief Information Officer David Bray explained in a formal statement that FCC.gov’s problems did not come from a large volume of complaints and comments, which is what Oliver had asked his fans to make, but from sabotage. “These actors were not attempting to file comments themselves; rather they made it difficult for legitimate commenters to access and file with the FCC,” said Bray.
Net Neutrality is the idea that Internet providers should not be allowed to speed up or slow down access to certain websites, which would presumably be done for payment. In 2014, the U.S. government ruled Internet providers must be held to standards similar to those of telephone companies and changed their legal classification to fall under Title II of the 1934 Telecommunications Act, which gave the FCC the legal authority to order them not to give preferential treatment to high-paying customers.
In response to a previous Net Neutrality proposal in 2014, John Oliver did a segment on the fifth episode of Last Week Tonight explaining the difference between Title I and Title II status and asking his viewers to flood the FCC’s websites with comments supporting regulation. Approximately 4 million did so, and the website crashed. Sunday night, Oliver asked the public to repeat the performance, recommending comments to make and providing a single link to take them to the exact part of FCC.gov required: “America needs you to rise — or more accurately, remain seated in front of your computer screen — to this occasion,” said Oliver on the air. “So please, fly my pretties, fly once more!” Again, the FCC website soon suffered problems.
Despite Sunday night’s issues, the FCC still received tens of thousands of comments on the proposed relaxing of the 2014 regulations, which is up for a vote on May 18.

NASA completed the first successful space flight of the new Ares I-X rocket yesterday. After delaying the launch 24 hours because of poor weather, Ares lifted off at 11:30 (EDT) in the morning from Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
The 327-foot tall Ares I-X test vehicle produced 2.6 million pounds of thrust to accelerate the rocket to nearly 3 g’s and Mach 4.76 — just shy of hypersonic speed. It capped its easterly flight at a sub-orbital altitude of 150,000 feet after the separation of its first stage, a four-segment solid rocket booster. After reaching an altitude of about 40 km, the first stage separates from the launch vehicle. The second stage was very brief, reaching around 46,000 metres, before an uncontrolled descent. The Orion capsule model should splash down approximately 230 nautical miles from the launch site. The first stage booster from the test descended for recovery using a parachute braking system.
“This is a huge step forward for NASA’s exploration goals. Ares I-X provides NASA with an enormous amount of data that will be used to improve the design and safety of the next generation of American spaceflight vehicles — vehicles that could again take humans beyond low Earth orbit,” said Doug Cooke, associate administrator for the Exploration Systems Mission Directorate at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C..
The Ares I is a new rocket developed under the Constellation program, part of the Vision for Space Exploration announced in 2004 by then-president George W. Bush. Derived from a booster used on the current United States Space Shuttle, it should help to lift the Orion spacecraft carrying people and supplies for the International Space Station (ISS). The rocket with Orion is also planned to lift the crew to Altair lunar landing module, which will be lifted into orbit using the Ares V heavy-lift rocket.

Question: 1
Click the Exhibit button.
Given the information shown in the exhibit, what was used to determine mastership?
A. member uptime
B. manuallyassigned role
C. highest serial numbe
D. manually assigned priority
Answer: A
Explanation:
When a Virtual Chassis configuration boots, the Juniper Networks Junos operating system (Junos OS) on the switches automatically runs a master election algorithm to determine which member switch assumes the role of master.
The algorithm proceeds from the top condition downward until the stated condition is satisfied:
Question: 2
Which two statements are true about OSPF not-so-stubby areas? (Choose two.)
A. The ASBR originates Type 7 LSAafor redistributed external routes.
B. Type 5 LSAs are translated by the ASBR into Type 7 LSAs.
C. The ASBR originates Type 5 LSAs for redistributed external routes.
D. Type 7 LSAs are translated by the ABR into Type 5 LSAs.
Answer: A,D
Explanation:
Redistribution intoan NSSA area creates a special type of link-state advertisement (LSA) known as type 7, which can only exist in an NSSA area. An NSSA autonomous system boundary router (ASBR) generates this LSA and an NSSA area border router (ABR) translates it into a type5 LSA, which gets propagated into the OSPF domain.

Question: 3
Click the Exhibit button.
Referring to the exhibit, which statement is true?
A. R3 has the complete OSPF database.
B. R3 and R4 have an adjacency state ofFull.
C. R4 is elected as the DR.
D. R1 and R2 are elected as DROTHERs.
Answer: A,C
Explanation:
C: In LANs, the election of the designated router takes place when the OSPF network is initially established. When the first OSPF links are active, the routing device with the highest router identifier (defined by the router-id configuration value, which is typically the IP address of the routing device, or the loopback address) is elected the designated router.
Question: 4
An EBGP session sources its TCP connection from which IP address?
A. The IP address of the primary address assigned to the loopback interface.
B. The IP address assigned as the router ID.
C. The IP address of the preferred address assigned to the loopback interface.
D. The IP address of the interface that connects the two BGP speakers.
Answer: D
Explanation:
The BGP session between two BGP peers is said to be an external BGP (eBGP) session if the BGP peers are in different autonomous systems (AS) . A BGP session between two BGP peers is said to be an internal BGP (iBGP) session if the BGP peers are in the same autonomous systems.
By default, the peer relationship is established using the IP address of the interface closest to the peer router.

Question: 5
You notice that there are currently two MAC addresses associated with a single access port in the bridge table on one of your EX Series switches.
What are two explanations for this behavior? (Choose two.)
A. The access port connects to an IP phone which connects to a host device.
B. The native VLAN feature has been associatedwith the access port.
C. Themac-move-limitfeature has been disabled on the access port.
D. The access port connects to multiple hosts through a rogue device.
Answer: B,D
Explanation:
MAC move limiting detects MAC movement and MAC spoofing on access interfaces. You enable this feature on VLANs.

The New Zealand government officials have announced that it will give NZ$160,000 in aid to help farmers who were affected by the huge amounts of snow in Canterbury, New Zealand two weeks ago.
The aid package will provide four regional offices for co-ordination, food supplies and ongoing support.
The Federated Farmers for mid Canterbury say that the aid will be a start to what looks like a tough winter. President of the mid Canterbury Federated Farmers Rupert Curd says, “It is too early to say exactly how much help the relief package will provide.”
The snow has not yet reached a crisis point.
The Insurance Council has estimated the cost of the snow storm has reached $35 million so far. Chief Executive of the Insurance Council says, “There has been damage to homes, commercial premises both on farms and in town and vehicles. Businesspeople who have been without power are also claiming for loss of income.”
The Minister of Agriculture Jim Anderton has said that they are not ruling out giving further aid.

No Vague Marketing Messages Please

Everyday your target clients are bombarded with not just hundred but thousands of messages in all types of media. Be it television, print posters and the Internet, your target clients cannot help but be overwhelmed with all these information no matter how small or big the messages. The world we live in is indeed a very noisy place. And the only way you can be heard with your marketing collateral such as your poster printing is by way of a clear and concise message.
You have to remember that there is not just three or four or even five companies competing for your target clients attention. There are hundreds of you out there with the same offering. This is not to mention all the other companies from other industries. So you see, thousands of marketing information is an understatement. Just imagine how much you are up against everyday that you market to your target clients with your poster printing.
The trick therefore is not to make it too hard for your target audience to understand your message. Hence, avoiding vague messages in your poster printing can go a long way in making yourself heard and understood by your readers. If you want to speak clearly, you better provide your target clients with precise and simple messages in your print posters that cut to the chase. Tell them exactly what you are offering and what you want them to do to have your offer.
To be successful in your marketing campaign or even with your business as a whole is to not be vague about what you want to say to your target audience. Just say what you mean and mean what you say. There is no ifs and buts, just plain here are the benefits of my business, and this is what I want you to do
The key is to having your messages in your print posters clearly targeting your specific audience. This means having a message that speaks to a particular prospect or client. You can do this by explaining to them not only your features but more importantly the benefits they can get when they buy your product. The bottom line is to get to your target that can clearly and easily empathize with what you are saying and therefore be quick about their decision in purchasing from you.
When you get your audience involved and interested enough to want to have more information, then you really have an effective marketing campaign that can work to achieve your goals.

The arrest warrant issued for Wikileaks’ editor-in-chief Julian Assange has been quashed by Stockholm Chief Prosecutor Eva Finné, who said in a press release “I am of the opinion that there is no reason to suspect that he has committed a rape.” The press officer of the Swedish Prosecution Authority says that he is still suspected of molestation, and that neither police nor prosecutors have yet been able to contact Assange. Assange had this morning said that he was going to hand himself in to police but also said that the accusations against him were false. The investigation is continuing.
A warrant for Assange’s arrest was issued on Friday evening after the Stockholm police informed prosecutors that he had been accused of rape. According to Expressen’s sources two women between 20 and 30 years old are the alleged victims. Police and prosecutor Maria Häljebo Kjellstrand told Swedish news agency TT that the alleged molestation took place in Stockholm on the night of 13–14 August and the alleged rape happened “later” in Enköping. (Expressen’s sources say the alleged rape occurred on Tuesday.) Beyond that they have refused to comment. Sources told Expressen that the two women knew each other and “knew that they had been the victims of the same thing”. A source says that the women were afraid of Assange’s “position of power” and had been reluctant to make a formal report to the police. However, on Sunday one of his accusers was interviewed by Aftonbladet and denied that they were scared of Assange: “It is wrong to say that we were frightened of Assange and that we hadn’t wanted to report him for that reason. He’s not violent and I do not feel threatened by him.”
Assange was in Sweden last week to talk about his work and to defend Wikileaks’ publication of the Afghan War Diary, a set of tens of thousands of secret US military documents whose publication has angered the Pentagon and the Obama administration. He had also met Swedish Pirate Party leader Rickard Falkvinge and signed a deal in which the party agreed to provide Wikileaks with server space. The Pirate Party is continuing its cooperation with Wikileaks despite the allegations against Assange.
Assange has denied the allegations in e-mails to Swedish media and on Wikileaks’ Twitter feed, saying “the charges are without basis and their issue at this moment is deeply disturbing.” An official statement on the Wikileaks blog says: “We are deeply concerned about the seriousness of these allegations. We the people behind WikiLeaks think highly of Julian and he has our full support. While Julian is focusing on his defenses and clearing his name, WikiLeaks will be continuing its regular operations.”
